PONCE DE LEON – On August 5, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle bearing no tag on Alford Rd. just east of Hwy 183A in Ponce de Leon. Contact was made with the driver, Bobby McMillan of Ponce de Leon.


During the traffic stop, the deputy noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. McMillan handed the deputy a marijuana cigarette and stated that he had just smoked it and did not have a medical marijuana card.



A probable cause search of the vehicle also produced a small baggie of methamphetamine, and a spoon containing methamphetamine residue. A check through dispatch also revealed that McMillan’s driver’s license was suspended.



Bobby McMillan was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
