Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Annual SRT CNU TRaining Exercise

A large scale Special Response Team and Crisis Negotiations Unit training exercise involving members of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Walton Beach Police Department, EMS, and Northwest Florida State College Police Department will take place this morning on the NWFSC Niceville campus beginning around 8 a.m.


We wanted to advise the public that the exercise will result in a significant amount of law enforcement activity around the former Administration Building and could involve simulated gunfire.


Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience as this exercise, designed to hone our skills to protect our residents and visitors, is underway. The exercise should wrap up by noon or before.
