Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office Investigators with the Internet
Crimes Against Children Unit conducted an operation in August 2021,
which led to an investigation where forty-four-year-old, Jerry Lee
Hollingsworth Jr. of DeFuniak Springs was identified as a suspect.
Hollingsworth Jr. began chatting with an undercover officer posing as
a fourteen-year-old juvenile over social media. Numerous search
warrants and subpoenas were prepared and served to various social
media accounts to positively identify Hollingsworth Jr. which was timeconsuming
and caused a delay in the arrest.
Hollingsworth Jr. has now been charged with Using a Computer to
Seduce, Solicit or Lure a Child and Using a Two-Way Communication
Device to Facilitate a Felony.
