DOTHAN:      THE DOTHAN CITY SCHOOLS AND AT THIS TIME ( 2:14 PM CST JANUARY 11, 2022 ) only the Dothan City Schools will be virtual the rest of the week.


This is due to a staff shortage due to COVID.


HOUSTON COUNTY:     Moments ago via text message with Houston County School Supt. Brandy White, ALL HOUSTON COUNTY SCHOOLS ARE OPEN WITH ON CAMPUS CLASSES. Most of the Central Office staff are plugged into different schools covering shortages due to COVID.


Supt. Brandy White stated “if we get to the point we don’t have enough personnel we may close only in places necessary.”  “If it gets to the point we don’t have enough anywhere we will do whatever we have to do”.



No word at this time of any other school system closing or going virtual.
