OZARK:    The registered voters of Ozark return to the polls on October 6 to elect the Mayor.

There were four candidates running for Ozark Mayor. In the primary election two lost and the remaining two were forced into a run off election.

The two remaining candidates are Incumbent Mayor Bob Bunting and Current Dale County Commission Chairman Mark Blakenship.

This afternoon Chaddick Crews, one of the candidates defeated in the Mayor primary announced his support for Incumbent Bob Bunting.

Crews owns a barber shop on Andrews Avenue in Ozark and is a minister. He said that he met with both Bunting and Blakenship discussing with them different issues in the City of Ozark. Then he spent time in prayer.

After which he decided to endorse Incumbent Bob Bunting in the run off election.

Bunting was present for the press conference. He thanked Crews for his endorsement in the election.

FOLLOWING THE PRESS CONFERENCE

In the primary election through TEXT RICKEY STOKES 334-790-1729 information was sent to me concerning Mr. Crews. When people text me information it is my policy to not ask them their names unless they want to volunteer that information. It is also RSN policy that we NEVER - EVER - NEVER - EVER reveal the identity of who calls with information.

During the primary RSN never had the opportunity to ask the questions. Today, after everyone left, I explained to Mr. Crews we had been provided information before the primary election so I wanted to ask him. That I was not attempting to "ambush" him and why the decision was made to ask one on one after everyone left.

The question concerned a March 7, 2006 allegation against Mr. Crews where threats were made against a person to kill him. A March 28, 2006 Criminal Trespass, a July 2006 conviction for menacing. A DUI offense prior to that.

Crews, now in his 40's, said the cases were 20 plus years old. That he was guilty of the DUI and the other incident was involving a family member who was to pay part of expenses for an event they put on.

Crews said through experiences you learn, change and become a better person. Again Crews stressed those arrests were 20 plus years ago.

In Crews comments he mentioned that I had a DUI.
