The Bay County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of a Panama City Beach man on more than 300 charges of Possession of the Sexual Performance of a Child.
On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, members of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, along with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) executed a search warrant at a home on the east end of Panama City Beach. The search warrant was in reference to more than 300 images and videos of child pornography being stored to a Google account at the residence.
During the investigation, Chase Wooden, 35 years old, was identified as the suspect in this case, and taken into custody during the execution of the search warrant. A preliminary search of Wooden’s phone revealed numerous other images of child pornography obtained from various online sources. Wooden was taken into custody and charged with 303 counts of Possession of the Sexual Performance of A Child. This investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
