DOTHAN:    Please continue to pray for Mike Schmitz. 


His condition at this time is not where it should be since his quad by pass surgery yesterday at Southeast Health. There was more heart damage then was anticipated which is causing his recovery not to be where the doctors want him to be.


Sandy Schmitz wrote this morning " Mike needs a miracle to make it through this. The heart was badly damaged, but we know the miracle maker ".


Sandy said that Mike is awake and fully aware. The medical staff is keeping him pain free to keep stress down that could cause his heart rate to flutter. Any fluuter is not good at this time.


Sandy writes " please keep praying and declaring Mike's healing and God's power over this situation. I know the Holy Spirit is hovering over Mike and GOD is at work! Waymaker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper! That is who our GOD is.! Please keep praying! Mike is gonna walk through this with a powerful testimony of GOD'S love and power!".


Please continue to pray for Mike, his wife Sandy, son Michael and his wife and their child. Mike Schmitz DOES NOT HAVE Covid. But due to Covid his wife Sandy and family can not be in the hospital with him. So I expect their anxiety level is high also.


Please keep Mike, the medical staff, and Mike's family in your prayers.



Mike Schmitz is a husband, father, and local leader. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Education for Dothan City Schools. He served two terms as Mayor of Dothan.


Mike Schmitz is a "orphan turned optimist". He is and always been determined to lead with positivity ... let's GO, GO, GO!


Mike and his wife have been very successful in life. He rose from a oprhan child, a teacher taking time and teaching him to read, and through hard work a very successful businessman.


He always has a positive attitude. This weekend in a text he was saying " I got this ", always hitting life head on. 


Mike Schmitz has a love and passion for the City of Dothan, the people and the success of people in all walks of life. He has done a lot that people have no clue of for others to help in their walk of life.
