Washington County, FL:Over 40 grams of methamphetamine was discovered resulting from a call of a possible burglary.
Deputies responded to a residence on Mattox Springs Rd. April 7th at approximately 9:45 p.m. in reference to a possible burglary. The victim returned home earlier that morning to find, 33-year-old, Justin Edward Brown, in the residence and asked him to leave. Once the victim returned for a second time, the house was found to be in shambles and items were missing. While deputies were investigating the burglary and gathering evidence, Brown approached the residence. The deputy could smell the odor of marijuana coming from Brown. Brown admitted to smoking a blunt and was also observed to have one tucked behind his ear. Brown was then asked to empty his pockets. In doing so, a glass pipe fell to the ground. Brown tried to conceal the pipe and was taken into custody.
Brown was found to be in possession of several baggies containing in excess of 40 grams of methamphetamine concealed in a Mountain Dew box.
Brown was booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell or distribute and methamphetamine trafficking.
