Quincy, FL Man Arrested for Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure

Jackson County: On January 16, 2021, at approximately 8:00 am, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call in reference to a theft of gasoline in progress at a residence on Highway 90.
The suspect was observed walking under a boat shed and attempting to depart with two gas cans. While deputies were en route, further information provided was the suspect had attempted to depart the residence after being confronted by members of the victim’s family.
The suspect was able to drive away but ran out of gas only a short distance from the scene. A family member approached the suspect’s vehicle in an effort to attain more information i.e. tag and description.
The suspect exited her vehicle and picked up a small limb that was lying on the ground. The suspect ran toward the the witness in an aggressive and threatening manner. The witness was in fear the suspect would harm her if measures were not taken to protect herself. The witness, being an active Concealed Weapons Permit holder, displayed a firearm to the suspect. The suspect threw down the limb and ran back to her vehicle where deputies found her upon arrival.
The suspect was identified as Skyler Anderson of Quincy, FL. Anderson was arrested for Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure and Aggravated Assault. Anderson was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility to await first appearance.
