Quincy Fl Man Charged with Burglary and Resisting Arrest

Lynn Haven Police have arrested two Gadsden County residents on felony charges related to the burglary of unlocked vehicles at a local apartment complex. At approximately 11:45pm last night, Patrol Officers of the Lynn Haven Police Department responded to a report of multiple subjects having been seen entering vehicles in the parking lot of the Enclave Apartments. Responding officers located two individuals matching the description of the suspects in the immediate area and they took flight when challenged by officers. One subject was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit.


Officers of the Panama City Police Department and Deputies from the Bay County Sheriffs Office also responded to assist in the search for the remaining suspects. A perimeter was established and an LHPD K-9 was deployed. Shortly thereafter, a second suspect was tracked to a vehicle determined to have been used by the perpetrators. A probable third suspect is still being sought in connection with this case.



With the arrest of the second suspect and the identification of the suspect vehicle, it was determined that this same vehicle had been previously identified as a suspect vehicle connected to other thefts and burglaries in the area which were being investigated by the Panama City Police Department.



Seventeen year old, Jakari Jaquan Murphy who listed a Quincy, FL address has been charged with Burglary of a Conveyance and Resisting an Officer without Violence. Twenty-One year old, Mario Dwayne Rollins of Gretna, FL has been charged with being a Principal to Burglary.



The investigation into these and other related crimes is continuing and additional charges are anticipated. Chief Ricky Ramie would like to thank Chief Scott Ervin, Sheriff Tommy Ford and their respective staff members for their assistance in bringing this case to a successful conclusion.
