DOTHAN:
This 2014 Gray Jeep Rubicon was loaded on a trailer and binders on it parked in front of my office at 109 East Adams in Dothan.
Sometime after 1 AM it was stolen off the trailer.
The Jeep has a lift kit on it. It was almost on empty.
Report filed with Dothan Police. The Jeep belonged to my son.
Any questions call Rickey Stokes, 334-790-1729. This was
my son’s Jeep.
RECOVERED
This morning at 2:13 AM I was at the Dothan Police Department docket room in reference to a bond. From there I went and gassed up and went home.
A little after 6 AM Kristyn with my office called and asked where was the Jeep. My response was behind Spencer's truck. Kristyn said, no it is not.
After a report was filed and Dothan Police reviewed the cameras from the front of the department towards my office, a black male backed the Jeep off the trailer that it was loaded on and strapped down.
As police were looking for it A-Advantage Bonding staff started to look for it. A break was made and the one who stole the Jeep stopped at a store. He was on video. From there his identity was found out and we hit a house.
Coming up empty handed as to his whereabouts, about that time Cottondale Florida Police Department contacted me. They found the Jeep abandoned. The stolen report had not made it into the NCIC system but when he ran the license plate someone said wait, I think that was on rickeystokesnews.com as stolen. They looked and it was.
Dylon, myself and John Curtis traveled to Cottondale Florida. The Jeep was not hurt but the thief took the key. Guess he did not want anyone to steal it.
The Jeep was loaded and returned to Dothan.
THANK YOU to the staff of A - Advantage Bonding, Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Department, and Cottondale Police Department and Alabama Parole Board Task Force.
