REFUSAL TO STOP RESULTS IN DRUG ARREST

LEONIA – (September 19, 2021) A deputy attempted to stop a Toyota car on Brake Rd when the driver refused to stop and continued approximately two miles before pulling into a residence on Brake Rd.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Amber Haney also in the vehicle was Ms. Haney small child.
During the conversation with Ms. Haney she threw a small purse that contained hypodermic needles, methamphetamine, and other paraphernalia in an attempt to hide it.
Deputies went to detain Haney and she began to resist. After a brief struggle she was taken into custody and charged with fleeing and attempting to elude, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest without violence, tampering with evidence, and child endangerment.
