Remembering A Great Man..Che’valier Paul

Today it was my honor to place these flowers at the Angel Of Hope for Che’valier Paul.

On July 11th, 2018 Che’valier was murdered in Albany, Ga while making
a delivery for the company he worked for.

On July 14th, 2018
Che’valier was suppose to be getting married to the love of his life.

Only a few months before he was murdered he and I had a conversation about the headstone I placed on Wesley Johnson’s unmarked grave.

Wesley is the 18 year old black child that was lynched, hung and shot 82 years ago.

Che’valier was very familiar with the tragic story of Wesley Johnson . He was one of the many talented actors in Faye Howell’s movie Tumbleton Road.

I am posting a screenshot that shows in his own words how Che’valier felt about the Angel of Hope and it being a symbol of remembering those who are no longer with us.

How were we to know...that soon the Symbol Of Remembrance would be for him too.

How Was I To Know?

Even now seeing his comment about the Angel Of Hope brings flowing tears to my eyes.

I never would have believed that those words could be his last to me 2 months later.

I will be forever blessed by his comment.

And sadly I will be forever haunted by them as well.

Knowing that the person who made that comment would be murdered 2 months later.

A person who had a beautiful smile but more importantly..A Beautiful Heart.

It just makes no sense to me.

Yes...Che’valier Paul, the Angel of Hope is a great symbol of remembrance and My promise to you is for it to be a great symbol of remembrance of you as well.
