MONTGOMERY, Ala.- An Alabama Department of Transportation resurfacing project on Alabama Highway 52 from Alabama Highway 605 to Ross Clark Circle began Monday, June 7.
Motorists should be mindful of workers and equipment when traveling through the construction zone and follow the posted speed limit. Travel delays can be expected as there will be lane closures throughout the project.
ALDOT awarded the project to Midsouth Paving, Inc., out of Birmingham, who had the lowest bid that met project requirements, at a cost of approximately $2.4 million and is expected to be complete by Fall 2021.
ALDOT’s mission is to provide a safe, efficient, environmentally sound transportation network across Alabama.
