OZARK - DALE COUNTY: On Saturday evening family, friends, former co-workers and those who worked with and around Retired Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson came together for a retirement celebration.
Everyone gathered at The Ozark Warehouse to honor Retired Sheriff Olson and his family for his 28 years of law enforcement, 16 of which as Dale County Sheriff.
A beautiful cake which reflected the Dale County Sheriff badge. So beautiful you hated to cut into the cake.
During the 16 years as Sheriff, Olson served one year as President of the Alabama Sheriff Association. Long time Executive Director of the Alabama Sheriff Association, Bobby Timmons, was on hand in Ozark to celebrate Sheriff Olson’s retirement.
The members of the United States Marshall’s Service that worked together for decades was also on hand for the retirement celebration.
Sheriff Olson left a good foundation in which Dale County Sheriff Mason Bynum and members of the Dale County Sheriff Department can build on. A friend to many who was a dedicated public servant to the citizens and guests of Dale County.
THANKS to Mrs. Olson and their daughters for lending Wally Olson to the citizens of Dale County, to serve and protect.
WALLY OLSON, on behalf of the citizens of Dale County, THANK YOU for your 28 years of serving and protecting. THANK YOU for your 16 years as Dale County Sheriff.
CONGRATULATIONS on job well done and best wishes as you move to another area of service in your life.
