HOUSTON COUNTY:    On Monday there was a motor vehicle accident on Highway 84 West and Highway 123 in Wicksburg.

The wreck claimed the life of a teenager from New Brockton. The teenager lost her life in the vehicle when a 2010 Ford F-150 rammed the back of the vehicle.

Daleville EMS was returning to Daleville from a Dothan hospital. The EMS crew stopped and assisted Wicksburg EMS. Dothan Fire was mutual aid requested and met the ambulance enroute to Flowers Hospital. The patient was what is referred to as a "load and go". The injuries were so critical no time to waste on the scene. Wicksburg EMS performed CPR on the patient.

The patient, also a teenager, is reported to be on life support.

The injuries required two Wicksburg EMS and Daleville EMS to transport all of the patients from the wreck.

Arrested on the scene was 55 year old Anthony Miguel Bishop. At this time Bishop is in the Houston County Jail for Driving Under The Influence with no bond. Bishop was transported to a Dothan hospital by ALEA - Troopers investigating the accident. At the hospital blood was taken from Bishop to determine his alcohol content.

It is expected that Bishop will be charged with murder and assault from the accident.

ALEA - Troopers, Homicide Division, continues their investigation of the accident. At this time it appears the truck and car was both traveling the same direction. The truck Bishop was driving was on the rear of the car. After impact the vehicles collided with two more vehicles.
