Chief Spencer Collier is retiring after more than two years at the helm of the Selma Police Department.
Collier, 46, served three years as Alabama’s first Secretary of Law Enforcement and two years as Alabama’s third Director of Homeland Security. Collier helped organize the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, combining eleven separate law enforcement units and agencies into one organization. He claims he was wrongly fired by former Gov. Robert Bentley.
