Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop across the region on Friday morning through the late afternoon hours. There’s still some uncertainty with the exact placement of these storms. There is a marginal risk for severe weather on Friday, and some of these storms could produce gusty winds, hail, and even an isolated tornado. In addition to the severe risks, isolated heavy rainfall is also possible.
A stronger system will move through during the daytime hours on Saturday, presenting the risk for all severe hazards (damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes) over a more widespread area. Much of the region is in a slight risk for severe weather on Saturday. In addition to this severe weather threat, heavy rainfall is expected across the region, which could lead to flash flooding on Saturday.
