Sexual Assault Suspect Escapes on Way to Court

CHIPLEY, Fla. (WTVY) -- A man accused of sexual assaults in Dothan and Washington County has escaped on the way to court.


According to Chipley Police, a man accused of multiple sexual assaults walked away as he was being transported to court for a hearing.


Travis Dickson Wilson was last seen on a surveillance camera heading west on Jackson Street in Chipley, FL. Police say he should be considered dangerous.


Wilson was arrested after two incidents in April 2019. On April 1st, 2019 Wilson is accused of robbing and sexually assaulting a woman at Andrews Bridal in Dothan. Then on April 3rd, a similar crime was committed in Chipley, Florida.
