Sexual Predator Apprehended in Jackson County

 JACKSON COUNTY, FL – In March 2022, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Initiated an investigation into registered sexual predator, Ray Allen Hansford Jr. after he failed to register. A warrant was obtained for five counts of failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. On June 15, 2022, the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force of the United States Marshal Service was contacted for assistance in locating Hansford, who was subsequently taken into custody during on June 16, 2022. He was additionally charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Sheriff Edenfield is thankful for the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office, and the United States Customs and Border Protection for their assistance in this case.
