Shooting into an Occupied Dwelling/Assault

On 2/10/202 at Approximately  12:30 pm E911 dispatched officers from the Ozark Police department and the Dale County Sheriff’s office to the area of Dixie Drive in reference to a fight with shots fired. Upon arriving officers discovered that a verbal and physical altercation took  place involving multiple suspect’s.

It was Discovered that 3 to 4 suspect’s left the scene prior to any law enforcement arrival and a BOLO was issued on the suspect’s vehicle. Moments later the vehicle was located by law enforcement and the suspect’s  fled on foot into a wooded area near Andrews Ave and Meadowlake Drive.

A short time later law enforcement was able to locate and take two suspect’s into custody for questioning in the earlier altercation. Law Enforcement also located a third suspect and she was taken into custody for questioning. During this event two male subjects received minor  injuries due to the physical altercation that occurred at the crime scene on Dixie Drive.

After a lengthy investigation the following suspect’s was arrested and charged as follows:

Howard Lenny Mundy

33 YOA Hispanic/Male

Ozark, Alabama

Criminal Charges:

Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling

Attempting to Elude Police

Possession of Marijuana 2^nd Degree
