ENTERPRISE, Ala.: Each spring, the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Military and Veterans Affairs Committee, celebrates six outstanding JROTC cadets from three area high schools — Enterprise High School, Carroll High School, and Daleville High School. The recipients of this honor were recognized at Enterprise State Community College on Wednesday, April 10 during the annual ‘JROTC Outstanding Cadet Awards Breakfast’.
Each school selected two outstanding cadets within their JROTC program for their leadership skills, dedication to the organization and their mission, and their outstanding performance throughout the school year. The cadets recognized were Cadet Captain Trey Thoma and Cadet First Lieutenant Cammi Tillery (Enterprise); Cadet Command Sargeant Major JaCoby Rumph and Cadet Captain Rosa Pablo (Daleville); and Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Hannah King and Cadet Command Sergeant Major Paul Swanson (Carroll).
Dr. Leon Grove, Commander of the Department of Alabama, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) was the guest speaker to the cadets, their families and instructors, and the various veterans’ organizations in attendance. Dr. Grove brings over three decades of diverse experience, blending 14 years of military service, academic achievement, and entrepreneurship into a distinguished career. His interactive presentation was an inspiration to all in attendance.
