Skidder Fire On Macarthur Road

HOUSTON COUNTY: 11:22 AM At 9:26 AM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Gordon Fire to a large outdoor fire, a skidder on fire, on Macarthur Road off Houston County Road 81.
Gordon Fire Chief Justin McAllister requested Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management respond. Also requested to respond were Lucy Fire, Pansey Fire and Ashford Fire.
The skidder was in the thick area of the woods. No fire department was able to make access to the skidder with equipment. Chief Justin McAllister and EMA Director Chris Judah were able to make access on foot.
Alabama Forestry was requested to respond to the scene to cut area around to prevent spread to a home nearby.
Gordon Police Chief Jim Mock was on the scene.
