Recent Enterprise High School (EHS) Graduate Preston Powell has begun his construction career today as a Construction Manager with Navigator International, LLC; he was a residential construction student at EHS and signed a commitment of employment with the company on May 23.

An employment signing was held at his graduation party by his supervisor, Staci Hayes, who is the program manager for Navigator International, LLC.

She stated that young people like Powell are a vital part of the construction industry because many construction trades are dying breeds. She is thankful for the Career and Technical Center for offering these courses to students interested in starting a career right after graduating from high school. 

Powell’s job was ready for him on the day he graduated.

He excelled at all the construction trades that were offered to him during his high school career and received the prestigious award of Eagle Scout during his senior year; this also taught him how to be disciplined and how to have a great work ethic.

Powell thanks his parents, Billy and Karen Powell of Enterprise, along with his grandparents, uncles, and his construction teachers, Mickey German and Buddy Skinner, for supporting him and encouraging him along the way.

He hopes one day to work his way up in the field of construction and own a construction company.
