MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Strong storms moved through central Alabama Friday afternoon.

Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency Director Christina Thornton said there were trees down sporadically and thousands of power outages but no injuries were reported.

“We probably had 10 or 15 calls within 30 minutes,” said Bullseye Tree Service Owner Richard Babington.

Babington and his team were busy much of the evening removing what mother nature left behind.

“As you can see lightning tore out the top and it fell against the house,” he said.
