DOTHAN AL :A marginal risk for severe weather is forecast for mainly the Florida portion of our area late tonight into Thursday. The main threats are isolated damaging wind gusts, small hail, and locally heavy rainfall.
An approaching cold front will move into the western portions of the area Thursday morning, and progress through the region throughout the day. As instability increases throughout the morning and early afternoon hours, a few storms may become severe, and produce damaging wind gusts and small hail. Increased moisture across the region will lead to rainfall totals of one to
locally two inches of rainfall. There will also be the potential for locally gusty winds this evening over the Panhandle and southeast AL as weakening thunderstorms move through.
