Suspicious Person call Leads to Arrest in Slocomb

SLOCOMB AL:On July 16, 2021, Slocomb Police was dispatched to the Post Office in reference to suspicious person(s). Officer arrived on scene to find a vehicle that was parked in the rear of the parking lot had been jacked up and two suspects under the vehicle cutting the exhaust.

Suspects were detained and later transported the Slocomb Police Dept. for questioning. Suspects who were identified as Scott Senn and Douglas Busby, both of Daleville, stated to L.E. that they were hired to work on the vehicle and had bad exhaust.

Owner of the vehicle was contacted to confirm story and once story was confirmed to be false, both Senn and Busby were arrested and taken to Geneva County Jail for Possession of Burglary Tools, Theft of Property 3rd, and Unlawful Breaking and Entering of Motor Vehicle.

During questioning, it was also determined by admittance where an Incident Report taken by Slocomb Police on June 29, 2021 of same related incident, Scott Senn had came to the Post Office in Slocomb and cut part of the Catalytic Converter off a vehicle.

Senn claimed to have worked on said vehicle couple weeks prior but needed someone smaller to help and that’s where Busby came in. In addition, Senn was charged with another count of T.O.P. 3rd and Breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle.  More charges are expected and investigation is still ongoing.

All Suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
