DOTHAN: Decades ago the late Sam Adams told me something I have never forgotten.
The late Sam Adams was a practicing attorney, a former Alabama State Senator, the son of a Circuit Judge.
When I left my tenure as Coroner I started doing investigations for law firms. Have been as far away as New Mexico to conduct investigations for law firms.
One of the first attorney's that I did work for was Sam Adams. He told me something that I will never forget... and that was if he did not get complaints on his investigator then he had a investigator who was not doing his job.
As a news person, blogger, or whatever you want to refer to me as, I have to guess that I do a pretty good job. Because people are always complaining, trying to get me arrested or call my preacher on me.
So I must do a pretty good job.
Sam Adams was very respected. He was a good friend. And taught me a lot.
Another attorney did not tell me but told someone else the following...From the late Huntley Johnson...when you are mad and write a letter ( today a email ), write it and lay it on your desk. Each day read it. If you are satisfied after three days them send it.
That practice I attempt to follow but not always a success. Most especially when I deal with so many politicians, lawyers, judges and clients.
But with a lot of people after me, then I feel some great satisfaction in the fact I must be doing a fantastic job. Because they are shooting at me all of the time.
Whether a politician who I keep accountable or someone featuring in their games.
I have found that, if I must do it alone, I will not let up on politicians. Especially two faced ones.
STAY TUNED FOR SOME CHANGES IN MY DIRECTIONS...
