Theft on School Campuses Lands One in Jail

Washington County, Florida:Theft reported on the campuses of Roulhac Middle School and Chipley High School resulted in one arrested and the items recovered.
On September 14th, the Washington County Communications Center received a call in reference to a theft of a golf cart from Chipley High School. A week later another call was received from Roulhac Middle School with reports of chainsaws missing on the school campuses.
Through investigative leads, investigators with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office were able to establish, 37-year-old, Marvin Dewayne Baker as a suspect. Investigators were able to recover these items, along with a hand held blower that had been stolen from the Washington County Public Works Facility back in August of this year.
Baker was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of 3 counts Felony theft, 2 counts burglary of an unoccupied structure and dealing in stolen property.
This case is still under investigation and more charges are pending.
