JACKSON COUNTY, FL – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) has arrested three sexual offenders.
In late 2021, the JCSO Criminal Investigations received information of a sexual abuse incident and on January 11, 2022, Timothy Aaron McRae was taken into custody without incident, and was charged with Lewd and Lascivious Molestation.
In another case, the JCSO was contacted by a victim on January 8, 2022, who had also been abused. From the investigation, probable cause was found, and a warrant was issued on January 13, 2022 for the arrest of Kevin Shane Tew for Sexual Battery.
Additionally, on January 18th, 2022, the JCSO Sex Offender Compliance Division initiated an investigation into registered Sexual Offender, Raymond Donald Hicks, who had failed to complete his last two sex offender registrations as required by Florida law. A warrant was obtained for the arrest of Hicks on January 20th, 2022, and he was taken into custody on the morning of January 24, 2022 without incident.
Sheriff Edenfield is grateful for the collaboration of all of those involved. The JCSO Investigators, the JCSO Sex Offender Compliance Division, the JCSO Uniform Patrol Division, members of the Jackson County Drug Task Force, the U.S. Marshal Service Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force, and the Graceville Police Department, were able to successfully bring these cases to justice.
"The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to the protection of our most vulnerable citizens and will continue to fight for those who have been victimized. These unlawful acts will not be tolerated," Sheriff Edenfield said.
