MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG)- Our eyes are peeled on an area of disturbed weather in the Central Caribbean. A broad area of low pressure is located near Grand Cayman Island with showers and thunderstorms becoming more organized around the system.
The National Hurricane center now has a HIGH chance of development (70%) over the next 48 hours. This system is likely to form into Tropical Depression Zeta in the next day or two.
If that happens then this 2020 Atlantic Hurricane Season would have the most named storms in a hurricane season EVER in recorded history.
