DOTHAN:    9:26 PM   After two months in the hospital, Tracy Phillips has been released from Flowers Hospital and is at home.

On Monday his wife, Kim, posted on FB that Tracy has seen the sun come up for the first time in two months. She also posted today that he has a long way to go but they are at a new beginning.

Tracy Phillips was called to my attention when I saw a post that asked for prayer for his daddy. Tracy Phillips has a family that has remained faithful in prayer, constant prayer.

And it is a great step that many never really thought they would see and that is Tracy coming home from his fight with COVID.

So first, THANK GOD for answered prayers for Tracy Phillips.

THANK GOD for all of the medical community, doctors, nurses, aids, those who wash the sheets, empty the trash cans, sweep the floors, bath ... the entire team of healthcare at Flowers Hospital that cared not only for Tracy Phillips but all of the people you have cared for, most especially since this pandemic struck.

THANK GOD for Tracy Phillips family who first of all has an extremely grounded belief and faith in a HOLY and LOVING GOD.

Continue to lift them up in prayer.

THEY DO HAVE A NEED   and I have not spoken to the family on this need but they did post it. From the way I have read things, Tracy was the primary income for the family. And since being sick. And his wife Kim said they are "drowning" in bills. As anyone would if they were in the hospital for two months, without notice. His wife, Kim, said she has never put their business out there like this. But they have rent due, and other bills, like their car payment, light and water bill. Kim said they only need money for necessities. They have food right now and there might be a time when food is needed.

There are needs that insurance does not pay for that Tracy will need as he continues to try and battle this COVID.

If rent does not get paid then they will have no where to live.

As a community, it is something we need to do is to help someone in need. While I have only met the Phillips once face to face, they are genuine and have remained faithful.

With over 50 just Baptist Churches in Houston County, not counting other faiths, business community, people who have been blessed, it is time to share that blessing.

Taking their necessary items and dividing between 20 people, it is pocket change to help the Phillips family.

So I ask each pastor, congregation, business and individual to look into your hearts and see what you can do. Pennies makes dollars.

GOD BLESS YOU TRACY. And our prayers are with you.
