TRAFFIC STOP ENDS IN DRUG ARREST

WASHINGTON COUNTY, FL: A traffic stop Saturday ends in drug arrest.
Just after 2:15 p.m., January 15th, a Washington County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop at S.R. 77 and Memorial Drive in Wausau for a traffic infraction. The deputy made contact with the driver and asked to see a valid driver’s license. The driver admitted he did not have a license and was later identified by a Florida ID card as 43-year-old, Jeremy Shane Thomas.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a container in the back seat with marijuana inside and a camouflage bag containing methamphetamines, a glass pipe, grinder and a marijuana pipe.
Thomas was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended, habitual offender.
