TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG ARREST

ESTO – On June 17, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 79. Contact was made with the driver and both passengers, including the back seat passenger identified as Lindsey Simmons of Coffee Springs, AL.
The driver gave consent to search the vehicle, during which deputies located a purse in the backseat belonging to Ms. Simmons. After receiving permission to search the purse, deputies located two syringes containing methamphetamine inside.
Simmons was taken into custody, at which time she admitted to having more syringes on her person. She produced three additional syringes, one containing methamphetamine.
Lindsey Simmons was taken to the Holmes County Jail and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
