Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in Eufaula

On Monday, 20 May, elements with the Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force, Eufaula Police Department, Houston County Sheriff’s Department, Enterprise Police Department and the Coffee County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on Veteran’s Parkway in Eufaula.
Seized in the stop was 224 grams of methamphetamine, 6 grams of heroin and weapons.
Arrested in connection with the investigation was Dontavious Sherrell Calloway, 25, of Albany, GA. Calloway is charged with:
Trafficking Methamphetamine,
Trafficking Heroin,
Chemical Endangerment of a Child x2,
Reckless Endangerment x2,
Attempting to Elude
Attempted Assault 2nd, and
Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess
Also arrested was Nyasia Monique Telfair, 23, of Albany, GA. Telfair’s charges include:
Trafficking Methamphetamine,
Trafficking Heroin, and
Chemical Endangerment of a Child x2
Two juveniles, aged 1 and 3, were in the vehicle at the time of stop and Barbour County DHR was contacted.
Calloway and Telfair are incarcerated in the Eufaula City Jail awaiting a bond hearing. All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law.
