HOLMES COUNTY: On May 1, 2024, a routine traffic stop conducted by a deputy with the HCSO (Holmes County Sheriff's Office) on Hwy 81 yielded significant results.
The stop, initiated on a van driven by Iner Nielsen, quickly escalated upon observation of a Glock pistol in plain view next to the driver.
Upon further investigation, a free air sniff conducted by the Washington County K9 unit alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics within the vehicle. Subsequent search efforts uncovered approximately 15 grams of cocaine and psilocybin mushrooms concealed within.
In light of these discoveries Nielsen was promptly arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of a controlled substance.
