HOLMAS COUNTY:On April 18, 2024, deputies conducted a routine traffic stop on Line Rd at Lake Cassidy involving a red Ford F150. The stop was initiated due to a traffic violation, and contact was made with the driver, Keith Lawniczak.
During the course of the stop, a pill bottle containing a white substance residue was discovered in plain view upon opening the glovebox. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded further evidence, as inside a tumbler that Mr. Lawniczak was drinking from, deputies found a glass pipe and a baggy containing methamphetamine.
Mr. Lawniczak admitted to placing the methamphetamine in the cup along with the pipe. However, when deputies placed the cup on the hood of the patrol vehicle, Mr. Lawniczak attempted to destroy the evidence by grabbing the cup.
As a result of these findings and actions, Keith Lawniczak was arrested and charged with the following offenses:
Possession of methamphetamine
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Tampering with evidence
