HOLMES COUNTY – Two DeFuniak Springs men are facing multiple charges after deputies responded to a report of a suspicious truck Monday, September 14.
A deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call near a salvage yard located on Highway 10-A in Ponce de Leon and made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, 33-year-old Justin Ryan Tankersley and 27-year-old Blane Adam Cunningham.
During the course of the interaction, four syringes were located inside the vehicle and tested positive for methamphetamine.
Both subjects were detained for possession of the paraphernalia, and a further investigation revealed Tankersley had entered the salvage yard, which had recently been the target of several thefts.
Deputies located in the back of the truck a pry bar, several grinders, saws, and other tools commonly used for the purpose of removing parts from motor vehicles, such as catalytic converters.
Tankersley and Cunningham are each charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, burglary of a structure, possession of burglary tools with intent to use, and trespassing.
