Two charged with lewd and lascivious battery on a 12-year-old

A conversation that originated through a social media app led to two people charged with lewd and lascivious battery.

Patrol officers with the Panama City Police Department were dispatched to a residence on June 8^th regarding a disturbance. The family of a 12-year-old had found their daughter at a residence and an altercation had broken out. While dispersing the disturbance, information was obtained of a sexual encounter between the victim and two 19-year-olds.

Detectives learned the victim had been having a conversation with 19-year-old Ashley Tucker and 19-year-old Adrien Smith through a social media app. The investigation revealed she had been picked up transported to another location where the sexual conduct had occurred by Smith and that Tucker encouraged the act.

Smith was charged with sexual battery and lewd and lascivious battery. Tucker was charged with lewd and lascivious battery. More charges are pending.
