Update 10:15pm Shots Fired Call leads to Car Chase then Foot Pursuit

Dothan - Dothan Communications notified Dothan Police officers of a complaint on Arlington Dr of Gunshots fire about 8:50pm. At 8:57pm another call came in advising there was about 10 shots fired on Woodland. Caller gave a description of the vehicle this time. Dothan Police were already in the area and spotted it quickly. When the officer attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle that matched the description the vehicle continued to travel down Dusy to Franklin, turned North on Oats, then East on Lafayette to Ussery St. Here the occupants jumped from the vehicle and ran. Dothan PD set up a perimeter and brought in Houston County Sheriff Tracking K9. Other units have been searching the vehicle that was left behind and already recovered multiple gun. They also know who they are looking for because when you leave your car behind, you forget there are multiple ways to find the owner. Dothan Police will have the vehicle impounded now as evidence. 


Update 10:15pm Units on scene have returned to service at this time. However, Dothan Police and Houston County SO both are aware of the suspect and will have a warrant signed for their arrest. So you might have got away tonight but one thing is for sure there are multiple firearms that have been removed from the streets, you also lost your ride and they will catch ya later.
