ENTERPRISE:    07:46 AM    Enterprise 911 dispatched Enterprise Police, Enterprise Fire and Enterprise Rescue to a motor vehicle accident with serious physical injuries early this morning.

The motor vehicle accident, reported to be a head on collision occurred on Rucker Boulevard.

The accident has claimed on life. Coffee County Coroner's Office along with Enterprise Police are investigating the accident.

At this time no release of names pending notifications.

Update 10:28 A.M

On April 3, 2020, at 5:00 AM, the Enterprise Police Department responded to a fatal traffic accident involving two motor vehicles in the 1000 Block of Rucker Blvd. Enterprise, AL.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a westbound vehicle was traveling in the oncoming traffic lane, causing a head-on collision with an eastbound traveling vehicle. 

The driver of the westbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene and has been identified as Harvey Herman Covington III of New Brockton, AL.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle was not injured.  The EPD Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating this fatal traffic accident and no further information will be released.
