The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a fatal shooting that took plus shortly before 2 p.m. this afternoon in the Willow Bend area off Schneider Drive in Wright.


Law enforcement is looking for a silver/gray Kia Soul.

The victim of a fatal shooting outside his home on Bennett's End near Fort Walton Beach today has been identified as 28-year old Stoney Mathis.


     Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputies found his body in a wooded island directly in front of his address after responding  to a call of "shots fired" around 2 p.m.  Mathis had been struck multiple times.   An autopsy will be scheduled.


     OCSO Investigators say they received reports of two cars seen in the vicinity prior to the shooting, a silver/gray Kia Soul with two black males inside, and a dark gray sedan.
