HOUSTON COUNTY:  Lucy Fire, Gordon Fire, Ashford Rescue, Cottonwood Rescue, Cottonwood Fire responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on County Road 4 near Fire Department Road. One person was confirmed dead in the crash.

The location of the accident changed a couple of times as emergency units rolled to the first initial location dispatched. After several 911 calls, in an area where cell service is awful is was finally determined to be on County Road 4. 

When emergency units arrived on person was found deceased and one was up and walking. 

RSN is holding scene pictures and not mentioning car description until which time we know next of kin has been notified.

ALEA - Troopers are on the scene investigating. Houston County Sheriff Department and Cottonwood Police and Gordon Volunteer Fire responded and assisted. Also Dothan - Houston County Emergency Management responded bring a off duty Dothan Paramedic who volunteers his time with Cowarts Volunteer Fire.

Another member of Dothan Fire Department is a member of Cottonwood Volunteer Fire Department who donates his time. Also a member of Ozark Fire Department volunteers his time with Gordon Volunteer Fire.

DOTHAN POST – A two-vehicle crash at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, has claimed the life of a Dothan man. Andrew Antonio Ousley, 52, was killed when his 2014 Chevrolet Corvette struck a 2016 Chevrolet Corvette. Ousley, who was not using a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash occurred on Houston County Road 4 near Oscar Helms Road. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
