HOUSTON COUNTY:      AT about 9:30 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Sheriff Deputies, Rehobeth Rescue and Pilcher Ambulance to an Edged Weapon Assault at 55 Singletary Road.

Reports to the 911 Center a female appeared at the back door covered in blood and was beating at the back door.

At about 9:52 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Sheriff Deputies, Rehobeth Rescue and Pilcher Ambulance to 35 Dean Road to a second Edged Weapon Assault. Sheriff 911 Center reported this as an additional victim. 

Rehobeth Rescue asked their fellow unit if Slocomb Rescue was enroute. At this RSN is not sure if Slocomb Rescue responded or Pilcher Ambulance responded.

Houston County Sheriff Patrol Lt. Robert Reichert followed the ambulance from the scene to Southeast Health. The ambulance was transporting one victim, trauma alert, from Singletary Road to Southeast Health.

When the ambulance called enroute to the medical facility Lt. Reichert called enroute following the ambulance.

Sheriff Deputies are investigating the facts and circumstances of the two Edged Weapon Assaults.

It appears to be a domestic incident that resulted in two people getting stabbed. A third person was treated at the scene for chest pains. Rehobeth Rescue responded along with two Pilcher's Ambulances.

Slocomb EMS - always there when you need them.

Tonight Rehobeth EMS and Pilcher EMS responded. When the call came in for the second stab victim Rehobeth Assistant Fire Chief Nick Floyd called for Slocomb EMS to respond.

GUESS WHAT? Retired Dothan Fire Captain Kyle Hovey who has always served Fadette Volunteer Fire and serves Slocomb Fire - EMS was off and at home. Chief Hovey sprang into action and responded.

Rehobeth Assistant Fire Chief Nick Floyd wanted to thank both Slocomb EMS and Pilcher Ambulance for their response.

Houston County Sheriff Department said Patrol Deputies and Sheriff Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the double Edged Weapon Assaults. The investigators and patrol deputies are working to put the details together of exactly what occurred tonight. It is to early in the investigation to say exactly what did happen. Sheriff Valenza wants to deal only in facts and not speculation.

Sheriff Valenza thanks the men and women who put their time and energies into providing emergency services for this county. Tonight with Rehobeth EMS, Slocomb EMS and Pilcher EMS demonstrates the fine services and dedication behind the emergency services in this county. Valenza also expressed thanks to the Sheriff Patrol Division for their quick response and scene isolation to protect evidence.
