ASHFORD:    Ashford Police, Ashford Fire, Ashford EMS, Houston County Sheriff Department, Cottonwood EMS, Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah, Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza and Houston County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jeff Carlisle, Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigation Leiutenant Hatcher are on the scene of the bus barn in Ashford in search of a missing juvenile. Also Houston County Sheriff Captain James Ivey has also just arrived.


Not a lot of details are known at this time. The child is apparently insulin dependent and has not has their shot for an extended period of time.


UPDATED @ 10:47 PM.  


Ashford Police Chief located the child in the old band room. The child was safe.


Also assisting in the search Captain Donovan Arias and Cpl. Ray Arnold. Houston County Commissioner Doug Sinquefield was responding to assist.


Missing from the search was Houston County Commissioner Ricky Herring. He only shows up for cameras and does not participate unless he has to. Someone was not breathing yesterday below Herring’s house. He did nothing to respond to assist in attempting to save the life.


Thanks to the multitude of Houston County Sheriff Deputies who did care enough to respond and search for the missing child.
