MIDLAND CITY:     9:50 PM     Ozark - Dale County 911 dispatched Midland City Police, Dale County Sheriff Deputies, South Dale EMS, and Midland City Volunteer Fire Department to a motor vehicle and train accident.

The accident location is 5th Street and Midland Michigan Street in Midland City.

As per protocol, Ozark-Dale County 911 auto launched Survival Flight to the scene.

At this time it is unknown the extent of injuries. Anyone with information or please TEXT RICKEY 334-790-1729.

The Midland City Volunteer Fire Department has established the landing zone for Survival Flight at the Elementary School in Midland City.

TO THOSE WHO DRIVE IN MIDLAND CITY

This is the 6th vehicle verses train accident in downtown Midland City in one year. The rules of the road are to STOP - LOOK and LISTEN.

A train is not a small object and pretty obvious. And there are tracks they drive down so it is not like a train takes some random pathway.

South Dale EMS has the patient loaded in the ambulance and transporting to the elementary school where Survival Flight is about to land.

Midland City Police Department is in charge of the accident investigation.

Survival Flight department the Elementary School at 10:50 PM for a flight to Southeast Health with the patient. Survival Flight has landed at the landing pad. The patient will be removed from Survival Flight, boarded into a Pilcher Ambulance and transported to the ambulance patient loading unlaoding area.

The condition of the patient is not known.

TIME TO LOOK AT THE RAILROAD 

The time has come for ALDOT and the railroad along with the City of Midland City and Midland City to look at the Midland City railroad crossings. This is the 6th vehicle verses train in one year.

Midland City Police Chief Jimmy Singleton is on the scene.
