ABBEVILLE: 9:42 PM. Abbeville Police and Henry County Sheriff Deputies have a manhunt search underway for a person who fled from a Abbeville Police Officer on a traffic stop.
The stop was on Highway 431 and Henry County 42 south of McDonald’s. After stopped one person is reported to have fled west on foot towards Highway 27.
Multiple Henry County Sheriff Deputies, once notified, responded to assist the two Abbeville Police Officers.
Henry County Sheriff K-9 designed for drugs only has been searching for drugs possibly dropped by the suspects.
Abbeville Police has a Acting Police Chief, James Bradley, while Abbeville Police Chief Noel Vanlandingham is on suspension. A pending lawsuit against Abbeville Mayor and Abbeville Councilman was filed today.

Henry County Alabama has hundreds of law enforcement officers and billions of dollars...NOT!
With three dispatch centers, and probably only 7 law enforcement officers on duty in the entire county with three different agencies.
Henry County Sheriff Department has to wait until Abbeville or Headland notify them something is going on. SOMEONE is going to have blood on their hands!
That working relationship is one that has Abbeville Police Chief Noel Vanlandingham suspended. And with his attitude he just needs firing.

Abbeville Police, Henry County Sheriff Department and Ventress Prion Track team apprehended the suspect.
