HOUSTON COUNTY:   10:43 PM    A Houston County Sheriff Deputy made a traffic stop on Settlement Road. Shortly after the deputy notified the 911 dispatcher of the traffic stop the Sheriff Deputy called in foot pursuit.


The Sheriff Deputy reported three subjects fled on foot. The Sheriff Deputy reported, unconfirmed, it appeared one subject possibly threw a firearm.


By 10:45 PM a backup deputy was on the scene with the primary deputy. The primary deputy one subject in custody.


Additional Houston County Sheriff Deputies are responding.

The primary deputy has reported to downgrade from emergency radio traffic to normal radio traffic.

All three subjects are now in custody. Houston County Sheriff Deputies are investigating to see why the subjects got rabbit and fled from the Sheriff Deputy.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies found one of the persons with rabbit blood to have outstanding arrest warrants in Geneva County. Unsure if they arrested all three or not.


The ones with Geneva County arrest warrants will cool his heels in the Houston County Jail and Geneva County will come get in. The Geneva County Commission and Geneva County Sheriff Tony Helms just completed a new jail for Geneva County. The cost to enter is free the exit costs can be expensive.
