BARBOUR COUNTY: There is a serious motor vehicle accident at the rest area on 431 in Eufaula, Alabama. Please use caution in that area. We will update when we have more information.

RSN is on the scene of a horrible traffic accident on Highway 431 in Barbour County.
The accident is south of Highway 95 intersection but north of Alabama Rest Area.
ALEA - Troopers and ALDOT have turned Highway 431 Southbound into a two lane road. They have closed the northbound lanes of traffic.
The accident involves a truck which hauls cotton which was struck by a pickup truck. Both were northbound when the accident occurred.
ALEA - Troopers, Barbour County Sheriff Department, Baker Hill Rescue, White Oak Fire and Dive Team are on the scene at this time. While they are not on the scene presently I am sure Eufaula Fire - Rescue responded because their station is only a couple of miles north of this location.
RSN does not like to release before notifications of next of kin. However word is out this is a fatality accident. Barbour County Coroner Chip Chapman is on the scene.
ALEA - Troopers and ALEA - Troopers Homicide Investigators are on the scene.
Scene pictures being withheld until next of kin is notified.

Barbour County Coroner Chip Chapman has identified the fatality victim as Max Enfinger. He lived at White Oak.
