HOLMES COUNTY:   3:08  Holmes County Sheriff John Tate and Holmes County Deputies on the scene of a firearm in Ponce De Leon at the rest area.

This is a firearm assault. All under investigation.

Jackson County Sheriff Deputies have taken a black male suspect into custody for Holmes County on Whiteville Road off Highway 90.

All under investigation.

A helicopter has transported a person from the scene. Holmes County Sheriff John Tate has requested Okaloosa County Sheriff Deputies meet EMS at the hospital. 

Sheriff Tate and members of Sheriff Department are slammed on the scene. Details of everything not known at this time. 

UPDATED @ 4:03 PM   

CONFIRMED, one person is dead on the scene of the Rest Area. A second person injured was transported to the hospital in Okaloosa County.

A third person was transported to the hospital in Bonifay.

The investigation continues.
